7th Implementation Support Mission
The World Bank team visited Uganda from December 10th- 14th December, 2018 to undertake an Implementation Support Mission of the Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project (RPLRP).
The main objective of the mission was to review implementation progress towards achievement of the Project Development Objectives and to agree on follow up actions to accelerate implementation and disbursement.
The specific issues focused on included; Progress of procurement and construction of livestock markets and watering infrastructure, Implementation and monitoring of social and environmental safeguards measures ,Utilization of IDA credit by 31st December, 2019 and Progress against the targets and indicators for PDO and intermediate.
The Districts visited included Kween District with a rehabilitated rangeland and livelihood beneficiaries of the Kuroiler birds, Sahiwal Bull and goats. Nakapirpirit with Apiary inputs and Sahiwal bull beneficiaries, Napak where construction of a quarantine station had set off and Moroto at the Nakiloro cattle market and Border check points. All these places were visited by the mission and progress of the sub projects discussed with the district leadership
