Borehole Installation

Groundwater is a valuable source for water supply because it tends to be available year round when other sources dry up. It can be developed at low cost close to homes and generally does not require expensive treatment.  Good quantities of groundwater cannot be found everywhere but for the pastoral communities of the Teso, Sebei and Karamojong sub regions, this is one of the interventions that RPLRP has put in place to ensure that livestock and the pastoralists themselves have water for their animals at the cattle crushes during the vaccinations and also at the livestock market as transactions are being made. Some of the project districts are reaping from the borehole installation already as seen in Kotido District.
