Training needs Assessment Activity
MAAIF, through the RPLRP is to support livelihood resilience efforts by increasing access to quality veterinary extension services. The Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs) have provided effective entry points for access to pastoral communities by providing extension services at low operation costs while ensuring sustained in depth learning by communities through shared experiences. These frontline workers require continuous retooling and training to equip them to deal with the ever changing challenges they face.
It is on this basis that MAAIF through the RPLRP conducted a training needs assessment of the CAHWs in the project area and later developed a training strategy and plan. An assessment tool in form of a questionnaire (attached) was developed for this purpose.
